YF Christmas outing this Saturday
hey lovely yf peeps, thanks for the wonderful start to the Bible studies on the book of James, it was great to hear many of you sharing, thanks! (even if i put some of you on the spot *smile*). you may be wondering about the picture, shelly and i just watched A Charlie Brown Christmas last night (yes that one from 1965), and there was a line in it where charlie brown talks about how people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas and his friend linus explains Jesus' birth. well seeing as it is that time of the year, i thought it would be great if the YF would get together this saturday to catch the afternoon matinee of The Nativity Story (official website) at the the nativity story is an account of Jesus' birth and follows the lives of Mary and Joseph leading up to it. after the movie, if you are still available, a group of us (or all of us) can walk to the very nearby Rideau centre to do some Christmas shopping for friends and family for the afternoon. and even if you want to hang out longer than that, i am willing to ;) have a blessed week and looking forward to seeing you all this saturday!
