YF A New Kind of Fellowship Sharing this Friday (23rd)
"After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly." - Acts 4:31Praise the Lord for an incredibly special weekend, some of you have already taken steps to share with friends at school and requested prayer (ask each other as well :). Unless we have a genuine encounter with Jesus, nothing changes. A witness can only share of their own experience, things that they have seen and heard (1 John 1:1-4). Has He ruined you as He did Isaiah? Do we have the courage of Gideon? "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." It was awesome to have so many meaningful talks with you guys and to see you engaged in those discussions and praying with each other! Often; as we learned from the sharing, God doesn't work in the ways that we expect but is always at work and does things beyond our imagination. Every victory is a major one, whether a new believer, true repentance, new resolve, increased courage, passion etc.
This Friday (23rd) will be a time of sharing/prayer in what I hope to be a natural continuation of the openness of our fellowship. What we all witnessed this weekend and on Sunday was God-given courage and several lives being changed in our midst. We'll share a bit more about the exciting student collective. Please bring your Bibles, a firm commitment to fellowship and willingness to share.
This Sunday (25th) we'll continue our time with devotion, prayer and Proverbs.
