Getaway details and this Friday's YF
hey guys, for this friday we will once again look into Scripture and continue our study on the book of James, this particular chapter will be really good to discuss and significantly applies to each and every one of us on a daily basis. please bring your Bibles and prepare your heart for the study. The week after this one (16th) will be Winterlude so feel free to bring your friends and some spare change for Beavertails or the like ;) Since it is an outdoors event, please download this form and have your parents sign it (if you are under 18) and bring it on the 16th or earlier. also thanks for everyone who has volunteered for getaway leadership, those who are serving on the worship team we have a meeting this friday morning (as it is a day off school) at 9:30am at EACO, thanks for the great meeting on saturday, i am encouraged by your desire to worship and serve Him. the whole group of getaway leaders may be meeting within the next couple of weeks, pastor shawn, pastor dave and i still have to confirm the time and date. on a fun note, a couple of you joined us sunday after church to play hockey in the ottawa u arena, that was a blast! if you are interested in playing again (or for the first time) let me know.
the YF sunday school class has been a great encouragement too, many of us have gathered each week and studied together and spend a little bit of time to pray for one another too. please join us on sunday mornings before worship service too. those who are available to help with the awana program, please contact myself or auntie salina, it would be a great way to serve God and the children in church. the church's february 07 CCCO-K publication is available for download and features a sweet cover design by YF's very own corey toye, pastor cal's ordination, testimonies, wedding reception pictures of shelly and i and more. shelly and i are looking forward to seeing you all on friday! lemme know how you are doing this week ;) blessings.
