YF Relay for Life this Friday (8th)

Praise the Lord for the awesome privilege of feeding the multitudes last Saturday!  We had ordered 65 shirts in faith (as an overestimate) and we had at least 73 people show up (we will try to get our hands on some extra shirts for those that missed out) :)  I've heard some great testimonies from adults in different groups and they said you guys were great, not shy and genuinely loved doing it.   It was fantastic to see some of our coffeehouse guests help out for the day as well!

This Friday (8th) will be YF's annual participation in Relay for Life, so take a break and join us at Carleton University Raven's Field at 7pm!  Every year, at this time; church families join us for the Relay for Life.  Whether we have lost loved ones or had loved ones fight cancer by God's grace, we have all been impacted by cancer.  This is another great event to invite coffeehouse guests to join us for the evening at 7:00pm at Raven's Field in Carleton University (directions) and leave at whatever time is convenient for you (uncle Eric suggests after the candle ceremony at 10pm) some people often stay overnight.  It's no cost for the event, your presence will show your support. Please bring your running shoes, clothing in preparation of the weather (colder in the evening), frisbees, footballs, baseball gloves etc. It is a very recreational time, where you can gather together for the fight against cancer as well as having a lot of time for meaningful talks, fun and fellowship.  The attached waiver (in your e-mail) is for all summer activities.

This Sunday (10th) we will be hearing from David Kitz (mentioned on Sunday by Priscilla, not a coincidence :) doing Psalms Alive! "Within the Psalms we hear the deepest longings of the human heart. Here we find the full range of human experience - an experience that brings us face to face with God. Our joys and triumphs are reflected here. Our spirits soar to the heavens, but we also plumb the depths of tragic despair. Is it any wonder then, that throughout the ages men and women have found refuge in the Psalms." Following service, our Ouje fundraising efforts will continue with the gracious organization by our awesome H2O brothers/sisters!  Sunday school, we will be continuing our series on honoring parents & family.

Notes:
Please submit your coffeehouse receipts to me as soon as possible so I can claim them for you.
If you have a brief quote about the Feeding 5000 community action project, the RTR communication team would love to hear it!
Ouje committees please finish up your planning as exams are quickly approaching.

Help us set up a time to meet in the coming weeks to catch up and let us know (reply to your e-mail!  for real! :) how we can be praying for you!
See you all on Friday and Sunday!
