Bible study and other details this Friday

thanks for the fun evening on friday night, see - wasn't it a great movie?! ;) sunday school was a very special reminder to me as we read 1 corinthians 4 together. our prayer and hope is that even just one of you (hopefully more) would turn out to be a "fool for Christ's sake" and consider your life as His to do as He pleases.

this friday evening we will be finishing our study on hebrews, looking at the final chapter together. please re-read hebrews in the time you spend in His Word and read the chapter before we gather on friday. afterwards, we will spend a little time discussing ideas and different presentations we can do as the english congregation gathers for the variety show.

also if you helped out in VBS, day camp or fall festival - there is a celebration that is just for you guys. i know that there are many people in YF who helped out with these children programs, so come out for some free food and a time of fun this saturday (dec 1 5:30-8:30). please let me or auntie sue ho know as soon as possible if you will be attending the party on the 1st or caroling on the 8th. if you want to catch up and talk, as always just let me know... otherwise see you all this friday at church!

ratatouille night at josh and shelly's

it was encouraging to continue our study of hebrews together last friday. please always keep in mind our goal, inspiration, handicap, means, example and presence (haven't forgotten already right? ;) lets always have a healthy fear and reverence for Him as you continue your week.

some of you have sent me a brief sharing about the YF fall retreat, thanks so much! i am sure the congregation will be encouraged, if you would like to share for the book publication of the CCCO-K, please e-mail me a couple of paragraphs before this friday. please also keep in mind that the english congregation variety show is coming up! please keep that in your minds and start to brainstorm for some ideas. as always shelly and i would love to meet up with you if you wanted to talk, pray or just catch up! let us know! see you this friday!

Bible study this Friday

shelly said you guys did a tremendous service at st. luke's this friday!! i've heard from a couple of adults already about the great work you did over there. you guys were a great example of how many can be served with such a small practice. if you want volunteer hours, maxine said she can give you some as well if you want to help out some more there! thanks for putting your faith into action.

this friday, we will continue our study on hebrews, hoping to cover chapters 12 and 13. please re-read and familiarize yourself with what we have already studied, reading ahead would be even better! so please bring your Bibles and an open heart this friday. also, the english congregation recently announced that it would have a variety show with skits/presentations (much like our skit last year) so if you have any ideas bring them with you! ;)

if you wanted to catch up and talk too, just drop us a line as well. blessings and see you friday!

YF serving in the community this Friday

it was great to be able to study hebrews together last friday and be encouraged by the faith of men and women who have gone before us. please continue to read hebrews as we study it together!

this friday we will have yet another opportunity to put our faith in action by serving at st. lukes lunch club and drop-in center. during discipleship week, many of you already experienced the awesome results of just a short time of volunteering can do. that morning you saved the kitchen staff weeks of preparation, did a semi-annual clean up outside and lots of various tasks to serve the hungry and homeless. next week, the kitchen will be short on volunteers, so this happens to be a great time for us to serve! we are very fortunate and please pray that we would find opportunities to serve in the best ways we can. please meet at church no later than 7:30pm as we hope to go to st.lukes as soon as possible! see you on friday!
