YF Games Night in 202 this Friday (30th)

It was an encouraging weekend, the Lord is changing the culture in our fellowship and it's been amazing. We've always been a close group and it's nice to see you openly sharing in small groups of prayer at the end of Friday and Sunday. I've made the mistake of filling up the time with longer studies at times and it hasn't left enough time for you guys to share what God has been doing in your lives and we need to allow more time for prayer together. I pray that John 8 and Mark 5 impacted you as much as Spirit has used those passages to transform me! Thanks for taking the time to share with us what God has been teaching you and make sure to post what He's been teaching you to our "Faithbook" in 202, thanks Priscilla!

This Friday (30th), we'll have a time of games and snacks in room 202!
There are 3 things you are encouraged to bring:
1) friends
2) games (board games, risk, dutch blitz, taboo, apples to apples etc.)
3) snacks + drinks
Awesome!

This Sunday (1st), we'll be continuing our devotional time and series in Proverbs

A blog has been started to share what God has been teaching them, but requested to remain anonymous: http://ahundredpaperhearts.tumblr.com/ Check it out!

YF A New Kind of Fellowship Sharing this Friday (23rd)

"After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly." - Acts 4:31

Praise the Lord for an incredibly special weekend, some of you have already taken steps to share with friends at school and requested prayer (ask each other as well :). Unless we have a genuine encounter with Jesus, nothing changes. A witness can only share of their own experience, things that they have seen and heard (1 John 1:1-4). Has He ruined you as He did Isaiah? Do we have the courage of Gideon? "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." It was awesome to have so many meaningful talks with you guys and to see you engaged in those discussions and praying with each other! Often; as we learned from the sharing, God doesn't work in the ways that we expect but is always at work and does things beyond our imagination. Every victory is a major one, whether a new believer, true repentance, new resolve, increased courage, passion etc.

This Friday (23rd) will be a time of sharing/prayer in what I hope to be a natural continuation of the openness of our fellowship. What we all witnessed this weekend and on Sunday was God-given courage and several lives being changed in our midst. We'll share a bit more about the exciting student collective. Please bring your Bibles, a firm commitment to fellowship and willingness to share.

This Sunday (25th) we'll continue our time with devotion, prayer and Proverbs.

YF Gym night this Friday (9th) with PE and H2O (No Other Name)

Thanks for all the encouragement, notes and support this weekend, I was honestly humbled to hear the things that were shared and read every single note carefully :) Much love to you peeps who make it a joy to serve the next generation. We examined the fruit of the Spirit on Friday and noticed that guys (in all walks of life) need to step it up in modeling these characteristics, we also stressed (as Paul taught in Rom 15:7) accepting one another as Christ accepted you and how we have to be a generation that faithfully exhibits His grace to a watching world. Then went through a plethora of Scripture to get a comprehensive look at how God desires us to treat others. At Sunday school, we had a quick devo and spent the majority of the time in prayer for the church and each other.

This Friday (9th), we'll MEET at St. Patrick's High School Gym 2525 Altavista Dr (directions) from 7pm - 10pm. Feel free to invite your friends (no fees, it is free) as we will also be joined by Pure Energy, H2O and anyone who wants to come! Head directly to St. Pat's High school. Bring your running shoes and sports clothes. Just in case, they do not open the supply room, please bring any basketballs, badminton, sports equipment you may have.

Getaway (Next week 16th-18th)!!! We have 23 of our youth signed up for the retreat next week! Awesome! Looking forward to it :)

This Sunday (11th), we'll continue with the devotional thought and then pickup in Proverbs 21.

As you've heard during announcements, baptisms are coming up this Easter, please let me know right now if you have been considering being baptized.

No Other Name registration BEFORE March 15th: 22 of you are signed up for No Other Name, keep it coming!

30 Hour Famine, if you do not yet have your form to start collecting funds, please see me!

I'm also coordinating the Good Friday service (6th) for our CCCO, if you would like to contribute a skit, reading etc. that is appropriate for a Good Friday service, please let me know as soon as possible!

Prayer: Please continue praying for the personal things you know (shared publicly at YF) or trusted to you by a brother or sister.

Give me a message if you'd like to have coffee/tea/hot chocolate etc. in the next couple of weeks.
See you all on Friday!
