Youth Fellowship this Friday! Bring your own mug!

We were really blessed with the weather this weekend as it was only the first night that we were drenched :) It was a great time just to be with each other and enjoy a couple of days with no watch on. I still smell like camp after a couple of showers and have a gazillion bites. It was also a natural time to build relationships between the YF/h2o, the more time we spend together the less there is (including age) that divides you.

This Friday (31st) was originally scheduled to be our final Bible study in Nehemiah, but H2O and I discussed having a time to continue building relationships with each other and how we can continue this community as well. Come even if you did not attend the camp! Gather at church (downstairs sanctuary) at 7:15pm for a time of games, sharing, smores/hot chocolate (Bring your own mug!) and fellowship. Our brothers and sisters from h2o will be joining us on Friday as well!

Remember next week (Aug 7th) we will be meeting at Michael, Eric and Rachel Yip's house! Then it's guys night (maybe go-karting) and girls night on the 14th (I think the girls will be doing facials at Neef Beef's) etc. Keep Discipleship Week open everyday for time to learn more about Scripture, understanding more about what the Bible is and how to read and live it. Aug 17-21 YF Discipleship week: Reading and Living God's Word. *Aug 20th Grad sendoff *Sep 5 YF "Where's Waldo?" kickoff * Sep 11-13 YF Fall Retreat.

God bless,
See you on Friday!

YF Nehemiah Bible study this Friday, picnic Saturday

It was a great weekend to be able to fellowship together, YF on Friday, soccer on saturday, YF missions sharing on Sunday and being able to have supper with a lot of you for Helen's birthday at Montana's. The congregation has responded incredibly to the YF missions sharing and were really encouraged, adults of all ages said that your sharing made them feel like they wished they could have been there too. If you were unable to go to Ouje this year, please prayerfully consider going to Ouje next year, it's a continual ministry and presence that we want to keep in Ouje each summer! I've received 7 of the 12 written sharings so far, please continue on those :).

This Friday (17th, 7:30pm at church) we will be continuing our study on Godly leadership from the book of Nehemiah.
We are trying to wrap up Nehemiah so we can begin a new study in the fall (Romans, a real important book for believers to know!). We will be studying chapters 7 and 8 on Friday so please come prepared and bring your Bibles and any refreshments you would like :) The next day (18th) is our church picnic, please come with your families as Allan, Luke and Helen will show their obedience to Christ through baptism! Get together your cards and encouragements and more importantly, your commitment to pray for each other and strengthen those you fellowship with.

We also want to spend the summer getting to know our grade 8 graduates (names in e-mail)

Our camping trip along with other details are coming up quick!
Jul 24-26 YF/h2o camping! Aug 17-21 YF Discipleship week: Reading and Living God's Word. *Aug 20th Grad sendoff *Sep 4 YF "Where's Waldo?" kickoff * Sep 11-13 YF Fall Retreat

I love summers because you guys are more free to meet up! Let me know if you want to meet up and talk about your life!
God bless you all,
See you Friday!

YF Fellowship in the Youth Room this Friday (10th)

Thanks everyone for the amazing trip and for praying for us while we were in Ouje! My body is still not responding to me properly yet and feels like one large mosquito bite. I'm sure you will hear about some great stories and how the Lord worked in Ouje this week, on Friday and during the Sunday service!

This Friday (10th, 7:30pm), we will be meeting in the backyard Lord's Garden or we will be in our youth room for fellowship time and we'll also go through our schedule for the Summer. We have quite a few things we want to discuss and wanted to close the evening with a small group prayer time too! Maybe a nice group picture too if it's sunny outside! Bring refreshments if you would like (chips, fruit, drinks, snacks etc)!

Remember that this Saturday (11th) is the church soccer tournament, next Saturday (18th) is our church picnic and YF people will be baptized! And the next week (24-26th) is the YF/h2o camping trip! We are finalizing our rides, food, equipment and details so let James know if you are coming as soon as you get this e-mail.

There are so many things coming up as well so keep track of these dates! Definitely commit to coming to Discipleship Week as it's always an amazing week in the summer of learning, discipleship and fellowship. * Aug 17-21 YF Discipleship week: Reading and Living God's Word. *Aug 20th Grad sendoff *Sep 4 YF "Where's Waldo?" kickoff * Sep 11-13 YF Fall Retreat

We have regular prayer meetings to pray for you all too, let us know how we can pray for you or if you want to meet up in the coming weeks!
We love you guys
See you Friday!
