Good Friday is approaching and it is the only calendar day that REMAINS only about Jesus, so on that day (April 6th) there is a youth rally where high school students from around ottawa (EACO, OCAC included) are gathering to worship and fellowship with one another - the doors open at 9:30am and it is all day with a selection of workshops, worship and speakers, it ends at 9:30pm and is at sir robert borden high school in nepean. shelly and i will be there, if you are interested registration is at

Awesome Getaway and this week's YF!
Hey everyone!!
Praise God for an amazing retreat! I know that many hearts have been changed and we can rejoice together that body of Christ has gotten a little bit bigger over the retreat! Please continue to consider the theme of the retreat, and REACH to God, others and within. As deep cries out to deep, our souls cry out to Him.
For those who prayed that prayer on Sunday morning please let me know. If you were unsure of your faith but personally KNOW Him now, please let me know and if you feel like the next step in your faith is to declare it aloud and be obedient in baptism please let me know so i can rejoice with you guys!!!
So many of you encouraged me over the weekend, seeing your passion and faith develop has been a blessing. Perhaps some of you have already known Him and been baptized but there are always opportunities to grow and live for His kingdom - you can still come forward about the Christian Youth in Action opportunity that I shared with you guys of help out in YF leadership. so please let me know... I am overjoyed with how God moved at the Getaway and look forward to hearing from you guys!
Please bring your Bibles and testimonies from the Getaway for a time of sharing and Bible study this Friday. there are hundreds of pictures of getaway all over facebook too, please please let me know if you prayed that prayer on sunday morning, or if you would like to grow and take the step of obedience in baptism, or want to serve this summer or in yf leadership etc!!! the getaway is finally here!!! i don't know about you guys, but that came really fast! this weekend we will be heading to Galilee Bible Camp for Getaway 07: REACH. please bring the normal retreat things (Bible, 3 days, 2 nights clothes, appropriate clothing for indoor/outdoor games and activities, pen, paper/notebook, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries etc.) keep those gameboys, psp and music devices at home.

3:30-3:45pm on Friday, March 16 - buses will depart shortly after. Please prepare to be picked up around 5pm Sunday, March 18th from OCAC. if you have invited friends, please remind them of these times. see you all on friday!!! please pray for the weekend! blessings!
YF Bible study on the book of James
hey everyone, thanks for getting so many getaway forms in by the deadline!!! there are still a few of you that have not sent in your forms yet, but please bring them this friday at the latest. if you have given the form but not the cheque please make it payable to "
ottawa chinese youth ministerium". keep praying for the getaway, we are really excited about it! if anyone wants the DVD (from last year) i still have a couple to give away and if someone can make additional copies, please make some for other getaway participants last year.
this friday we will finish our series on the book of James, so please don't forget to bring your Bibles and please take to heart the wisdom that we have been learning from James so far. see you on friday!
also, for those of you on the getaway worship team, there is a meeting before YF this friday at 4:30pm and a full getaway leadership meeting at 1:30pm EACO on sunday (11th)
YF cancelled tonight
i've already sent out the e-mail and made some calls, but just wanted to write here that pastor joey, pastor francis and myself think it is wise to cancel tonight's program for the safety of the youth. parents have also called concerned about the weather and we feel it's better for you guys to stay at home tonight. fortunately we have reschedule the sex talk with pastor joey and i'll see you guys at sunday school!! please bring your getaway forms in this sunday, cheques to
