YF Bible Study
even though we were unable to meet on the beach last friday it was nice to see many of you gather at church on friday. i hope those of you that went camping had a valuable time of fellowship and at the picnic.
i am writing to you from new brunswick (excited for Prince Edward Island tomorrow), shelly and i are just spending a couple of days here but won't miss a moment, we are still thinking of YF and look forward to seeing you on friday already. we will be studying Scripture this Friday, so please bring your Bibles. we will learn some more history and background information on Hebrews and read through it together. we are overjoyed that many of you are asking to meet with us and love spending time together with you. please continue to let us know how you are doing and how we can pray and help you guys out! see you this friday!
YF no longer at Beach tonight
it was raining all morning, and i was *hoping* that the rain would calm down but even now there is still some scattered showers.. so i waited until now to cancel our booking. ocac also canceled their volleyball tonight as well. but
we hope to gather here at church at the regular 7:30pm instead of mooney's bay for an informal fellowship night where groups can sing and worship, play games or have a devotional time together, whatever you want we can have different groups doing different things. jeremy is already here at church, so feel free to drop by early if you would like! see you tonight!

thanks for coming to discuss the book of Philemon with us last friday, hope that you had some time to think about it and apply it each day.
this friday we will be hanging out at the beach!! please meet at mooney's bay (hogsback and riverside) at the gazebo which is near basketball nets and washrooms at 5:30pm. we have a volleyball net booked for YF as well! if you are busing, feel free to use octranspo.com to plan your trip. if you have trouble finding us, you can call one of the YF members cell phones (i'll provide a phone number by e-mail later). if you haven't already done so, please have your parents sign the summer events form on the
website here. feel free to bring frisbees, baseball gloves, volleyballs, football, basketball and most importantly friends! please bring your own picnic supper, or eat afterwards. if you are being picked up, parents can come get you anytime before 8:30pm. this will be a good chance to get to know each other, and just have some fun in the sun too! see you then!
YF Bible study this Friday
thanks for the many of
you who came over to our place for the YF gathering on friday, we even missed a handful of people who were in the other section of the room during this picture ;) it was fun to see everyone interacting with so much energy and enthusiasm, in fact there was so much enthusiasm that a special guest came to speak with me after the event. hehe.
this friday, jeremy has volunteered to pray and open our night with a time of worship and then we will be looking into Scripture, so please bring your Bibles, open ears and heart.
please keep in mind all the summer activities like our church picnic and baptisms (with one of our sisters ;) on july 21st, discipleship week which is each morning and lasts from august 20th-24th and our summer coffeehouse on august 24th.
if you still want to meet up with shelly or i sometime to chat, just let us know and we would be glad to catch up with you! see you guys this friday!!

thanks for everyone who came to study 2 Peter last friday and celebrating the graduates (too bad manson had prom that night). a couple of you even came out to eat southwestern cuisine and watch the opera with us on saturday too! lots of youth are on vacation or out of town, so lets remember them as well as natasha, valerie and jeremy as they are taking part in Christian youth in action as well.
this friday we will be gathering at our apartment again where we have fit over 30 of you at one time! we will have a time of refreshments and games. please feel free to bring food, snacks, games and most importantly: your friends! this should be the third gathering at our apartment, here is the
directions and address again. feel free to come by around 7pm! the next morning we have our church
open house too, please come and welcome the youth in the area and those who will be dropping by the church that night! manson and edmond are helping me with the outdoor music that day and if you are also interested in helping, let me know as soon as you can because we are practicing this week.
i also have the prizes from world vision for this year, feel free to see me this saturday (at the open house) or on sunday to get the prizes. i'll be holding a baptism class that will be open to anyone who is thinking of being baptized and our baptismal candidate as well. if you want to attend the baptism class, please let me know ASAP so we can work out a time. shelly and i will see you all this friday!
