YF "angry" discussion this Friday

last week was a great time to open up our new room, we have lots of people to thank: uncle roger and the yips, the cheungs, tim lee, soos, the wii cellgroup: tsangs, toyes and the yips. plus the many many unnamed YF'ers, h2o's and adults who have put a lot of time into making this possible!

this week, we'll continue our series that we started two weeks ago! everything i've heard from the first discussion was positive, so i'm looking forward to this week. just like the 'today' discussion, this week deals with a daily issue that happens everyday and is relevant to each of us: anger, something that is in every facet of our lives, school, the store, home etc. what's really going on? is it worth getting angry about? can it be good? please come and invite others to join as well.

please get your retreat forms and cheques (made out to CCCO) (and your friends forms and cheques) in this friday or this sunday!

also, for october 31st, we will be helping with fall fest (ocac will also be joining us here at ccco). so each of you should let sue know which area you would like to help in: face painting, crafts, games, prizes/contest organizer or food. please let her know this friday because there is a meeting on sunday october 5th at 1:30. BYOL.

see you this friday! join us for sunday school each week too!

YF youth room opener this Friday!

thanks for the feedback and everything about last friday's vid and discussion about embracing what God has for us today!! i really enjoyed it as well. i sampled all 22 of them and selected another three and picked them up last night. we'll start them again next week, and of course all your friends are invited. p.s, a little inside joke, but i'm thankful i got back from hamilton just fine for sunday school as well ;)

this week, will finally mark the first night in our completed youth room! after literally hundreds of hours of renovation by several different people, it's finally done! many adults have donated a lot of stuff (materials, TV, wii etc.) so there is a lot to be thankful for! so we wanted to celebrate with something light for this friday, so please bring your card games, friends, snacks, wiimotes, games etc.! and as funny as it sounds, maybe you could bring a pillow as well (just to ensure we have enough cushions). you may want to wear a hoodie too, as we still don't have heating ;) also please return your retreat forms this friday or sunday - that way you can make sure you get a bed for oct 17-19th ;) also it would be considerate of you because we need the head count to get enough drivers as well.

see you friday!

YF "Today" discussion this Friday

first of all, thanks for inviting your friends last friday, it was a good time to get to know all the new faces and re-announce our plans and goals as a fellowship last week. we also got to learn some interesting facts about each other's names ;) remember that our fall retreat is coming up on october 17-19th and we ask that you return your registration form as soon as you can! if you cannot remember the date of your last tetanus shot, just answer to the best of your recollection. sunday school has started again and i've really enjoyed beginning the book of job with you all!

YF this Friday (19th) we will be looking at "Today", a part of a series where we will be free to talk about daily issues that you can relate to and you deal with everyday. it's a real interesting video and during the short 10 minutes made a huge impact. like i mentioned last friday, this single topic has changed lives of people we know. join us for a great discussion this week. see you on friday!

this friday, we wanted to introduce the new year and invite your friends! just wanted to have a kind of informal evening where we can get to know each other and the friends you bring. we'll talk about our upcoming fall retreat and teen's conference in the winter as well as what kind of fellowship we want to see develop over the course of the year. we'll also look at our YF covenant or promise to each other and talk about where we want to go. if you have any chips or snacks you would like to bring, please bring them. more details are included in the e-mail.
